DON’T TRIP UP – I know the region
I have a unique mix of experience in both the west and in Asia. With 12+ years beauty experience, 9 of which have been in Asia. I have driven Beauty strategies for big luxury beauty brands including Chanel, Burberry and L’Oreal both in Asia and in Europe.
I have broad and in-depth experience in global roles involved in the product strategy, messaging, positioning and creative to regional and local roles working with distributors on sell in and then with retailers and marketing teams on how to sell through!
I spent 4 years at Chanel in China working first on setting up their CRM programme – I travelled a lot, working closely with customers and counter girls and later on Skincare and fragrance product marketing everything from launch execution to pricing.
Most recently I was at Burberry driving the strategy for Burberry beauty firstly in London in the global team then lately in Hong Kong for Asia Pacific re-launching in Japan with Shiseido in 2015 and partnering with Sephora China in 2016 on the launch of makeup.
I have driven Beauty strategies for big luxury beauty brands from Chanel, Burberry and L’Oreal both in Asia and in Europe.
TAP INTO THE CHINESE – I speak the language
I have lived and worked in Asia for over 9 years. I love Asia and it’s people. I have extensive experience working with and in China. I studied Chinese at University in Australia and have been able to build on it by working in Chinese speaking environments for much of my career.
I have a very good love and understanding of Chinese culture, ways of thinking and doing things. I closely follow developments in Cross border e-commerce, Chinese social media and general beauty trends.
No matter where you sell in Asia the Chinese will be part of your target audience.
I REALLY CARE – Natural beauty is my passion
Several years ago because of a personal struggle with infertility I switched all my cosmetics and personal care to Clean, natural products.
Following this as a way to learn more I started a blog about the products I tried and loved. Through this, as I discovered more and more inspiring brands I realised a need to support these passionate, principled and growing brands as they aspire to expand in Asia.
